This is a personal take on the magnificent Artemision Horse, a Hellenistic bronze sculpture dating from around 150–140 BC, housed at the National Archaeological Museum in Athens. The horse is more than two meters tall and impressive in its own right, but it's the small rider that makes the sculpture so fascinating. I photographed it many years ago and chose to move inclose, so that the horse almost becomes a landscape of its own.
