Twisted Arm (Poppea)
Oslo, Norway
2009

I love photographing dance because the body can tell an entire story without saying a word. Movement, power, vulnerability — everything is there, in a single moment that will never come again. I took this photograph in 2009 in connection with choreographer Ingun Bjørnsgaard's performance Poppea. Here, the body and expression became my true working material, allowing me to become one with the movement and capture the unexpected.
